His presence on stage radiated with remarkable poetry and captivating stories, earning him numerous accolades in the literary world. A polymath versed in Hindi, Urdu, Awadhi, and English, he left an indelible mark through ghazals, geets, stories, and articles published in leading newspapers and magazines.

As the director of the Lucknow Literary Festival, Dr. Darshan’s passion for literature and culture illuminated the event. His visionary leadership enriched the festival, leaving an enduring cultural legacy. His passing leaves an irreplaceable void, but his words and dedication will continue to inspire generations. Ayaz-uddin Khalid, affectionately known as RJ Ayaz, was a beloved radio icon, effortlessly connecting with his audience. Hailing from the vibrant streets of Lucknow and educated at La Martiniere Boys and Lucknow University, RJ Ayaz was a household name on Radio City 91.1, with previous stints at RTV, AIR FM, 92.7 Big FM, and 94.3 My FM.

His versatile talents extended to voice-overs for prestigious channels like Discovery, National Geographic, CNN-IBN, and more, contributing to various documentaries. Moreover, Ayaz was an integral part of the Lucknow Literary Festival since 2014, leaving an indelible mark with his charismatic presence and passion for literature.

Ayaz’s untimely departure leaves a void in the world of media and entertainment. His warm voice and engaging persona will be deeply missed by listeners and colleagues alike. May his soul find eternal peace.
